17. The Tavasūtra mentions that Udbhikumar has the sign of a Makara, Dvikumar has the sign of a Lion, and Dikakumara has the sign of an Elephant. The signs of Nagakumara and others are included in their decorations. All of them have different types of garments, weapons, and ornaments.
In the matrices of the Chintā, there are celestial beings (Vyantaras) residing in the three realms—upwards, sideways, and downwards—in various buildings and shelters. They move to different places either at the will of their father or under the inspiration of others. Some of them serve humans. Because they reside in different types of mountains, caves, and the interiors of forests, they are called Vyantaras. Among them, there are ten types of Vyantaras known as Kinnaras, such as Kinvār, Limpapurush, Kinvā Purushottam, Kinnattam, Hridayangam, Rūpaśālī, Anindit, Manorama, Ratipriya, and Ratiṣṭh. There are also ten types of Kinvā Purushā: Purush, Mahāpurush, Purushvṛṣabh, Purushottam, Aṭipurush, Marudev, Marut, Meruprabh, and Yaśasvān. The ten types of Mahāraga are as follows: Bhujag, Bhogaśālī, Mahākāya, Atikāya, Skandhaśālī, Manerama, Mahāveg, Maheśvākṣa, Merukānta, and Bhāsvān. The twelve types of Gandharvas are as follows: Hāhā, Hṛdu, Tamburvā, Nārada, Ṛṣivādika, Bhūtavādika, Kādamba, Mahākādamba, Raivata, Viśvāvasu, Gītarati, and Gītayasasū. The thirteen types of Yakṣas are: Pūrṇabhadra, Māṇibhadra, Tabhadra, Haribhaka, Sumanabhadra, Vyatipātikabhadra, Subhadra, Sarvatabhadra, Manuṣyayakṣa, Vanādhipati, Vanāhāra, Rūpayakṣa, and Yakṣottama.
