The Tattvarthasutra now mentions the distinctions of the Chaturnikaya.
Indrasamanikatrayastrinshaparishadyatmarakshalokapalānnavaramishirṣāḥ 45
Trayastrinshlokapalava vyantarajyotishkāḥ.
The ten initial distinctions above the Chaturnikaya are Indra, Samanik, Trayaschish, Parishad, Atmaraksha, Lekapala, Anik, Prakīrṇa, Abhigya, and Kibiṣik in form.
Vyantara and Jyotishka are devoid of Trayasins and Lekapala.
The ten types of deities such as Asurakumar in the Bhavanapatinikaaya; each deity is divided into the ten parts of Indra, Samanik, etc. 1. Samanik is the lord of all types of deities. 2. In the case of Ayush, a deity equivalent to Indra, i.e., one who is worshipped like a minister, father, guru, etc., but does not include Indra himself, is called Samanik. 3. Deities who act as ministers or priests are called Trayas. 4. Those who act as friends are called Rishis. 5. Those who wield weapons and stand behind for self-defense are called Samaraksha. 6. Those who guard borders are called Ropattra. 7. Those who are in the form of soldiers or generals are called Anavar. 8. Those similar to town dwellers or country dwellers are called Prajiva. 9. Those comparable to servants are called Samaya Sevak, and 10. Those equivalent to the outcastes are called Visthishiv.
