When something is dried, the folded one dries slowly and the unfolded one dries quickly. Although the volume of water and the cloth are the same, the delays and rapidity in drying are affected by the compression and expansion of the fabric. Similarly, when mixing the impermanent and the non-impermanent (things of the same dimension), only the delay and swiftness differ; nothing else. Therefore, defects such as destruction and so on do not arise.
