Chapter 2 - Sutra 3949 In movement, there is only a karmic body, therefore at that time, only one body can be the possibility.
Q – It is said that the two attainments of Vaikriya and Aharaka do not occur simultaneously; what is the reason for this?
A - During the application of Vaibhav, and after the body has been formed from the attainment, it follows the rules leading to a state of being influenced, but it is not so in the case of Aharaka; because the Aharaka attainment happens in a state of influence, but after the body has been formed from it, a pure engagement is possible, which leads to a state of uninfluenced feeling. Hence, it is contrary to say that both attainments can be applied simultaneously. In summary, it has been stated that the five bodies do not exist together, this refers to the expectation of manifestation, potentially they could be five in terms of potency; because the muni with the Aharaka attainment could also have the possibility of Vaikriya attainment.
Note: Every entity has some application; hence the body should also have a purpose. Therefore, what is its main purpose, and is it the same for all bodies or is there some distinction, this question arises. The answer is given here. The main purpose of the body is enjoyment. Initially, this is accomplished in the four bodies; it is only in the final body of karmic attachment that this is not accomplished, hence it is said to be devoid of the experience of enjoyment.
