Chapter 2, Sutras 37-49
123 should be understood. The infinite number of atoms belonging to the Skandha of the Āhārik is infinitely less than the infinite number of atoms belonging to the Skandha of the Tejas. In this way, the karmic atoms are also infinitely more in number than those of Tejas. Thus, it becomes clear that the starting matter of the northern body is greater than that of the southern body; although due to the peculiarity of transformation, the northern body becomes increasingly dense, denser, and densest, which is referred to as subtle, subtler, and subtlest.
– The Skandha of the Audārik consists of infinite atoms, and the Skandha of the Vaikriya also consists of infinite atoms; how then can we understand the lesser quality in that Skandha?
– The infinite number of infinities is so. Therefore, despite having infinite sameness, the immeasurable quality or infinitely greater quality of the Skandha of the Darika compared to the Skandha of the Vaikriya is not unimaginable.
In those five bodies mentioned above, what three differences are there between the first three and the last two bodies?
Tejas and Karmana do not experience any resistance anywhere in the vastness; that is, even a hard object cannot obstruct their entry, as they are extremely subtle. Although the resistance of one substantial object to another may be apparent, this resistance applies to gross substances, not to the subtle.
