તેઓને જ હાય છે. તાત્પર્ય એ છે કે, મનુષ્ય અને તિર્યં ચ ગોપન્ન તથા સમૂમિ એમ બચ્ચે પ્રકારના હાય છે, જેમાં સમૂમિ મનુષ્ય અને તિર્યંચને મન હેાતું નથી. એક‘દર જોતાં પંચેદ્રિયામાં દેવ, નારક અને ગ જ મનુષ્ય તથા ગર્ભજ તિર્યંચાને જ મન હેાય છે
પ્ર——અમુકને મન છે અને અમુકને નથી એ જાણવુ શી રીતે ?
ઉ‘સજ્ઞા' હાય અથવા ન હેાય એ ઉપરથી તે જાણી શકાય છે.
પ્ર—‘સ’જ્ઞા,' વૃત્તિને કહે છે અને વૃત્તિ તે ન્યૂનાધિક રૂપે કાઈ અને કોઈ પ્રકારની બધામાં દેખાય છે. જેમ કે, કૃમિ, કીડી આદિ જંતુએમાં પણ આહાર, ભય, આદિની વૃત્તિએ દેખાય છે. તેા પછી એ જીવામાં મન છે એમ કેમ મનાતું નથી ?
—અહીંયાં ‘સંજ્ઞા'ના અર્થ સાધારણ વૃત્તિ નથી; પરન્તુ વિશિષ્ટ વૃત્તિ એવા છે. વિશિષ્ટ વૃત્તિ એટલે ગુણ દોષની વિચારણા કે જેનાથી હિતની પ્રાપ્તિ અને અહિતના પરિહાર થઈ શકે છે. એ વિશિષ્ટ વૃત્તિને શાસ્ત્રમાં ‘સંપ્રધારણ સંજ્ઞા' કહે છે. એ સત્તા મનનુ કાર્ય છે, જે દેવ, નારક, ગર્ભજ મનુષ્ય અને ગજ તિયચમાં જ સ્પષ્ટરૂપે દેખાય છે. એથી જ તેમને મનવાળા માન્યા છે.
