This is Chapter 1, Sutra 1, and if the authority is not knowledgeable, it even brings down the father from the spiritual heights. Nonetheless, in terms of the subject matter and the qualities of the knower, the distinction of supreme knowledge is indeed necessary.
Q – If scripture is knowledge, then why is the linguistic scriptures and the paper on which it is written also referred to as scripture?
A – By convention. In essence, scripture is indeed knowledge, but the means to express that knowledge is language, and language is also derived from that knowledge. Paper, etc., are tools to record and organize that language; for this reason, language or paper is also referred to as scripture by convention. (20)
Now, the types of omniscient knowledge and its master are explained:
Two types of omniscient knowledge: there, the causation is of the heavenly beings and the hellish beings.
1. In the "Shwe Granth," this sutra has the explanation “Mavapratyayah paramanimitah.” However, in the "Di Granth," this portion is not referenced in the sutra form, but this part along with the stated portion can be found in Sutra 21 of "Sarvarthasiddhi."
2. This sutra in the "Digranth" is as follows: “Malyah vadhidevanarakaanam.”
