The action of the worshipful teacher, endowed with learning, is invoked by the devout discourse, which is like a parental affection. This is the essence of being a Tirthankara. 23. The praise and criticism of the True Self manifest the virtues and vices, creating a contrast of the low aspects of lineage. 24.
