આઠમા પ્રકરણની પાઇને ૧. આલમ બેલિમનું મરણ ગઢ ઉપરથી પડી જવાના અકસ્માતને લીધે થયું હતું કે પેઢીના
માણસેએ એનું ખૂન કર્યું હતું–આ મુદ્દાને લઈને જૈન સંધ એટલે કે શેઠ આણંદજી કલ્યાણજીની પેઢી અને પાલીતાણું રાજ્ય વચ્ચે કડવાશભર્યો વિખવાદ જગોડનાર આ પ્રકરણની વિશેષ માહિતી આ ગ્રંથના “પાલીતાણા રાજ્ય સાથેના કેટલાક ઝઘડા” નામે ૧૧ મા પ્રકરણમાં
આપવામાં આવી છે. 2. “Anandjee Callianjee is not an individual but the name of a firm,
which propesses to represent the feelings of the Shravak Community, and that if the said community really wish to put an end to the misunderstandings at present existing between them and the Thakore Saheb of Palitana, they would do well to nominate some influential member at a common meeting of the caste and depute him with full powers to treat with the Thakore Saheb for a settlement of all points in dispute under the General supervission and
medeation of the Political Agent.” (દફતર નં. ૧૧, ફાઈલ નં. ૯૭). 3. "RESOLUTION—The petition should be returned to the sender
with an intimation that Government will only accept a petition from a person, who makes a BONAFIDE complaint on his own account, or on account of other person or persons whom he is lawfully empowered to represent; and as it is not believed that there is any such person as Seth Anandjee Callianjee who has the right to assume the title of "Representative of the Shravak Community of India ", this complaint is not one which Government think it nece
ssary or expedient to entertain.” (દાર નં. ૧૧, ફાઈલ નં. ૯૩). ૪. સને ૧૮૮૦ના સપ્ટેમ્બર માસમાં પેઢીનું બંધારણ ઘડયા પછી, પેઢી ભારતભરના જૈન
વેતામ્બર મૂર્તિપૂજક સંઘનું, આ બંધારણની રૂએ, કાયદેસરનું, પ્રતિનિધિત્વ ધરાવે છે, એ અંગે લેશ પણ શંકાને સ્થાન રહેતું ન હતું. એટલે મુંબઈ સરકારને એ વાતની તરત જ જાણ કરવા માટે મુંબઈના ગવર્નર નામદાર સર જેમ્સ ફરગ્યુસનને પેઢી તરફથી એક સવિસ્તર પત્ર લખવામાં આવ્યો હતો અને એની સાથે ગુજરાતીમાં ઘડવામાં આવેલ પેઢીના બંધારણને અંગ્રેજીમાં સાર પણ મોકલવામાં આવ્યા હતા.
પેઢી તરફથી અંગ્રેજી ભાષામાં લખવામાં આવેલ આ કાગળ, બંધારણ માટેની સભા બોલાવવાની જાહેર ખબરમાં અમદાવાદ સંધના જે આઠ અગ્રણીઓએ સહીઓ કરી હતી, અને જેઓને બંધારણના બીજા ઠરાવથી પેઢીના વહીવદાર પ્રતિનિધિઓ નીમવામાં આવ્યા
