INTRODUCTION
19. Joisakaramḍagam painnagam: This Prakirnaka is critically edited on the basis of six manuscripts, viz. go, ao, do, go, fao and go. The description of these manuscripts is as follows:
g. As stated in the beginning, we could not obtain the details of this manuscript.
जे० This is the palm-leaf manuscript belonging to the Jinabhadrasūri Jñāna Bhaṇḍāra, Jesalmer. It is listed under Serial No 34 in the New Catalogue already referred to. It contains four works in the following order: 1 Suryaprajñaptisūtra (folios 1 to 101), 2 Jyotiskaraṇḍakasutra Vṛttisahita (folios 102 to 165), 3 Jyotiskaranḍakasutra (folios 166 to 179) and 4 Candraprajñaptisūtra (folios 180-256). Its size is 231" x 24". The script is legible. The condition is good. At the end there occurs a colophon which runs as follows: Samvat 1489 varṣe Mārgasirṣa sudi pamcamyam tithau Gurudine śrimati śriStambhatirthe avicalatrikālajñā”jñāpālanapaṭutare vijayini śrimat Kharataragacche śrīJinarājasuripaṭṭe labdhilīlānilaya

o As stated in the beginning, this manuscript must belong to some Bhaṇḍāra in Cambay. We are not able to identify it and hence cannot give any detail of it.
go No information about this manuscript is available to us.
fa. This manuscript must belong to some Bhaṇḍāra in Bikaner, Rajasthan State. Taking the first syllable of the name Vikramanagara (= Bikaner), in his editions of other works Muni Shri Punyavijayaji has given the sign fao to the manuscripts belonging to some Bhaṇḍāra in Bikaner. Hence I infer that this manuscript also must belong to some Bhaṇḍāra in Bikaner because it is given the sign faro by him.
मु० This is the printed edition having the title śriMalayagiryācāryakṛta Vrttiyuktam Jyotiskaraṇḍakam prakirnakam'; it is
1. First Muni Shri Punyavijayaji had considered this to be a Vrtti and hence noted it as Vrtti. But after many years, when he was in Bombay and critically examined and corrected the texts of Jyotiskarandaka and this Vrtti, he determined that it was not a Vṛtti but the Tippanaka by Sri Sivanandivacaka and prepared its presscopy in his own handwriting. Hon. Secretaries of Shri Mahavira Jaina Vidyalaya have decided to publish this Tippanaka; it will be given to the press for printing
