Lord Ajitanātha was born in the town of Sāketa, on the tenth day of the bright half of the month of Māgha - māgha śukla daśami – to Queen Vijayā and King Jitasatru. He was the source of invincible power on this earth to His kinship, hence the name Ajita - the invincible. His height was 450 dhanusa. After spending 18 lakh pūrva as youth (kumārakāla), Lord Ajitanātha ruled His kingdom for 53 lakh pūrva and 1 pūrvānga (rājyakāla). The time period of Lord's renunciation (samyamakāla) was 1 lakh pūrva minus 1 pūrvānga. Lord Ajitanātha lived for 72 lakh pūrva and attained liberation (nirvāṇa) from Sammeda śikhara on the fifth day of the bright half of the month of Caitra - caitra sukla pañcami. Chief among His Apostles (gañadhara) was sage Simhasena Svāmī. May Lord Ajitanātha be my Guide. Lord Sambhavanātha People in the town of Śrāvasti experienced joy unlimited as Lord Śambhavanātha graced this earth on the full-moon day of the bright half of the month of Mārgaśīrsa - magasira sukla pūrnīmā. This happened after 30 lakh crore sāgaropama and 12 lakh pūrva of the birth of the second Tīrthankara, Lord Ajitanātha. Queen Suşeņā and King Jitārī were the most illustrious parents of the Lord; they knew that their Son will be a source of true and lasting happiness to millions of people, suffering due to their ignorance.
