Only by knowledge of law can we move fearlessly and usefully in worlds where law is inviolable, and, secure ourselves, enable others to reach a similar security. In the physical world the. supremacy of law is universally admitted, and the man who disregards 'natural law" is regarded not as a criminal but as a fool. Equal is the folly, and more far-reaching, of disregarding natural law' in the worlds above the physical, and of imagining that, while law in the physical world is omnipresent, the mental and moral worlds are lawless and disorderly.
