________________ Pravacanasāra and Vedānta Thought : 93 Kundakunda. It is a matter of wonder that Pravacanasāra echoed many Vedānta thoughts like identity of Ātman and knowledge, nature of a jñānin or of a Jīva. This fact reveals Kundakunda's penetrating insight in the field of Indian Philosophy in general and Jaina philosophy in particular. This would also indicate how great philosophers of the Vedānta school and Kundakunda echoed true pertinent thought on philosophical matters. This does not mean that there is a copying of each other, mystical thought is quite universal. Kundakunda is a Jaina sage and also a mystic, there is no wonder that his thoughts echoed some Upanişadic thought as seen earlier. This is indeed a great contribution of Kundakunda to Vedānta thought earlier to Sankarācārya and other ācāryas in the history of Indian Philosophy References: 1.
