It is critically edited by Muni Shri Punyavijayaji, with English Introduction by Dr. Motichandra and Hindi Introduction by Dr. V. S. Agarwal. Angavijjā is an ancient Prakrit Text relating to prognostication on the basis of bodily signs. The work is of unknown authorship but was considered to be of high antiquity and great sanctity having been delivered by Mabăvira himself. Its internal evidence points to its having been finally compiled at the end of the Kushan period, about 4th Century A. D. It is highly important document firstly, for the history of Prakrit language and secondly, for the cultural history of India. It contains hundreds of lists of all descriptions, for example, seats, postures, utensils, containers, flowers, trees, personal names, food and drinks, bedsteads, conveyances, textiles, ornaments, jewellery, coins, birds, animals, arrows, weapons, boats, gods, goddesses, etc. 2, 4 PRĀKķTA-PAINGALAM Part I, II Part I-Demy Octevo size..Pages 700 - Rs. 16/- : Part II-Pages 16+16+592 +12..Price Rs. 15/ Prākritapaingalam is a text on Prakrit and Apabbramsa Metres. It is critically edited with three Sanskrit commentaries on the basis of the two earlier editions and further available manuscript material by Dr. Bholashankar Vyas, a distinguished member of the Hindi Department of the Banaras Hindu University. He has also added Hindi translation with philological notes and glossary of Prakrit and Apabhramśa words. Part II contains the editor's comprehensive Introduction dealing with the problems of the Prāksta Paingalam together with a critical and comparative study of the metres that form the subject matter, as well as, the exact nature of the language of the original text, and also a literary assessment of the portion wbich the author intended to serve as illustrations to the Matrika and Varnika metres dealt with by him. 3. CAUPPANNAMAHĀPURISACARIYAM -Demy Quarto size. .Pages-8-68 +384. Price Rs. 21/ Cauppannamahāpurisacariyam is a great biographical work by Acārya Silanka of the 9th Century A. D. It is critically edited by Pt. Amritlal Mohanlal, Research Scholar of Prakrit Text Society. Its Introduction is written by Dr. K. L. Bruhn It gives the lives of 54 great men revered by the Jains, viz. 24 Tirtharkaras, 12 Cakravartins, 9 Baladevas and 9 Vasudevas. 5. AKHYANAKAMAŅIKOSA. -Demy Quarto size.. Pages 8+16+25+422..Price Rs. 21/ Ākhyānakamaņikośa is critically edited for the first time by Muni Shri Punyavijayaji. It is written by Nemichandra and is commented upon by Amradeva of the 12th Century A. D. This book is a mine of historical and legendary stories in Prakrit and Apabhramba.
