Arya Sthulabhadra went himself with 499 ascetics to get lessons of Agams.
Arya Bhadrabahu started giving seven lectures every day. But to understand a complex and difficult Agam like Drishtivad was beyond ordinary ascetics. They
whisperedI hardly understand this complex subject.
I don't find it interesting at all.
Gradually all the 499 ascetics returned. Only resolute Sthulabhadra continued to take lessons for eight years.
