Kierfel, in his Cosmographie der Inder, has given an account of cosmographical belief, according to Jaina traditions. His information is based on Jaina canonical texts and especially on the Bṛhat-Samgrahanisutra (also called Trailokya-dipika) of Sri Jinabhadragani Kşamasramana written in the sixth century and the Samgrahani-sütra composed by Śricandra Suri41 in 1136 A. D. Devabhadra Suri, who wrote a commentary on Kṣetrasamãsa12-another cosmological text-in 1176 A.D. also wrote a commentry on Śricandra's Samgrahani. Several texts, entitled Samgrahani-sütra, composed by different writers, are available in the Jaina Bhandars, but the works of Jinabhadragani and śricandra Sūri are the most popular.43 He has also composed the Laghu
