________________ Bettada Damana(Na)ndi Sridhara Maladhārideva Candrakirti Bhattāraka Elācārya Nayananadi Diwākaranandi Vardhamānamüni (disciple of Şānținātha) Accordingly, Diwākaranandi held a high position among the Jain ascetics in Karnataka, and he was a scholar of high repute in Prakrit, Sanskrit and Kannada. He has translated saint Umāswami's (also known as Umāsvati) the Tattvāratasūtra into Kannada. ] The article was originally first appeared in Kannada in Gurudeva, a Jain fortnightly, dated 15 February 1997.
