Jai Jinendra! On behalf of JAINA and the Jain Society of Toronto, we are very pleased to invite you to the 9th Biennial JAINA Convention which will be held from July 4-6, 1997 in Toronto, Canada. The theme of this year's Convention, Jainism in Practice... the New Age, is guaranteed to bring us all together for celebration of Jain religion, art and culture.
Panel discussions, presentations by scholars, video and slide presentations and exhibitions will focus on this theme. JAINA '97 promises to be a wonderful gathering for the Jain community of North America. It will offer opportunities for our young adults to experience a new level of kinship, and for the first time, we are planning an event for Jain businessmen to meet other Jain businessmen.
To make sure that your visit is very pleasant and memorable, we would like to plan this event with you in mind. Please help us by registering for the Convention by April 30, 1997 and take advantage of the Early Bird Special we are offering.
Because the entire event is being funded by your registration fees, advertisements and donations, we strongly encourage you to register early, advertise in our souvenir magazine and make as large a contribution to our effort as you possibly can.
