YJA needs your help.
As you may know, YJA is planning the biggest ever Jain youth convention, with over 500 participants and a budget of $150,000. Yes, we are charging registration fees, but we kept the fees low so that youths (mostly non-working students) could still afford to come.
We thus need to raise $50,000... and we've been steadily approaching this goal, thanks to the help of many. The Jain Center of Northern California held a Sangeet fundraiser that raised $10,000 from tickets and raffle sales in a single night! In addition, the Northern California Jain community has also pledged another $7,000 to the convention. Now, that's incredible. Unfortunately, we still need to raise more. But if Northern California can do it, then why can't the rest of us?
If you can give us $ 125, then we'll give you a business card ad space
(and yes, it's tax deductible) As a token of appreciation, YJA will recognize your family or business in a 2" x 3.5" space in the convention souvenir edition of Young Minds. You can publish an advertisement for your business, or you can let us design a "Thank you" note addressed to your family. The choice is yours. If you would like to donate more (and we would be very happy if you do), here's the scale: $250: 1/4-page ad; $350: 1/2 page ad; $500: full page ad. Of course, $125 is not any sort of minimum; we will gratefully accept any donation what you can provide.
