Any youth that has a talent in things such as literature * writing of Jain stories, poetry and prose writing, drawing, computer animation, usage of a deluxe IBMPC with items such as Deluxe Paintbrush, Harvard Graphics, a color scanner, and a laser printer, etc. are * cordially invited to visit the JAINA * Library in Lubbock, Texas. Anyone with any talents can stay with Dr. Premchand Gada in Lubbock for one week, two weeks, or as however long they wish to stay. They need a lot of help from the youth in a variety of fields as they try to take Jainism in the technological 21st century. Please make use of the resources that are 够 # ************** SOUTH REGION DOING IT AGAIN! 26 Jain Education International 2010_02 The youth members from the University Jain Society at The University of Texas at Austin would like to cordially invite all interested youth and adults to the Third Annual South Region Jain Youth Conference to be held in Austin, Texas during the Thanksgiving Day Weekend 1994. The Conference will begin Friday, November 25th and continue through Saturday, November 26th. This Conference is unique in that it is the first ever regional gathering of both adults and youth. No other region in North America has ever put together an event like this one. The purpose of this Conference is to promote the ideals and awareness of Jainism. The Conference is being primarily organized for all Jains in the South Region ranging from young chil being made available for our children to the youth to the adults. The entire format of the Conference will be very similar to past JAINA Conventions, with numerous workshops, panels, seminars, and open forum discussions. Also, there are plans on having two very distinguished guest speakers from our Jain community. The theme for * this Conference will focus on the environment and the ecology, topics that have not really been discussed from a Jain viewpoint. We also plan on having workshops on matters such as vegetarianism in the 1990's and animal compassion.
