________________ "...I offer my homage to Acharya Sushil Muni for his great thoughts and tireless work in resolving the world conflicts through Lord Mahavier's principles of nonviolence and multiplicity of viewpoints ..." Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma, President of India This is a great loss to the spiritual world. My heartfelt condolences. P. V. Narasimha Rao, Prime Minister of India Acharya Sushil Kumar ji was an extraordinary person. I don't believe I have ever known anyone with eyes quite like his. His face seemed drawn into those remarkable eyes through the many lines created on it by innumerable smiles over the years. These surely were the visible marks--the lakshanas-of a profound sense of compassion for living beings, deeply learned and cultivated. For those of you who knew him better, and looked to him more intently, his effect was even more profound. I mourn with you his loss, but join you in knowing that the work to which he dedicated himself will go on through his abiding spirit. We at Columbia are profoundly grateful to be a part of that work, and hope that, in his memory, we may do it well. Columbia University in the City of New York Jack Hawley It was indeed very sad to learn about the passing away of Rev. Acharya Sushil Kumar Muni Ji. Acharya Shri Sushil Kumar Muniji was not only a profound scholar of Jain philosophy but he made pioneering efforts in promoting world fellowship and synthesis of all religions and faiths - Sarvadharma Samabhav. The real tribute to his memory would be to further his Mission to bring about communal harmony among all the people. Shivra Patil - Speaker Lok Sabha At a time in history when ethnic and religious conflicts occur with greater frequency, may we look to the words and actions of Guruji for spiritual and moral guidance. He devoted his life to peace and inter-religious harmony, and showed the entire world, Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, and all other people of faith, the beauty that religious tolerance and cooperation can produce for mankind. City of Jersey City Bret Schundler Acharyaji will be remembered for his dedication to peace, nonviolence (Ahimsa) and cooperation between followers of different religions. He worked untiringly to promote universal brotherhood. He was the guiding spirit behind the establishment of "Siddhachalam", the International Mahavir Jain Mission, which is the first Jain Tirth, established outside India and which is visited by thousands of devotees. Guruji's passing away is an irreparable loss for the entire mankind.
