________________ Another obstacle, pride, or the thought that we are superior to all others. There are many human beings superior to us to whom we should be as nothing in comparison. We must have humility. A third obstacle is deceitfulness or hypocrisy, the desire for feigning to be what we are not really. We should try to realise the truth to see that there is harmony between our thoughts and the objective world. A fourth obstacle is greediness or identification of our real self with the lower self. It does not mean the use of money as a means, it does mean the getting of money for the sake of money. The object of concentration is to realise that the real self is not the personality. These four obstacles must at least be controlled at the time of concentration. It is a remote preparation; must be practised for a long time before it can be attained.
