Sufficiently strong motives must be presented to the will. Therefore we must find out the motives; why we should change and manifest a different desire from fame, etc. There will be different motives for different people, each person must find his own. The human embodiment is for the purpose of securing means for the final perfection of our individuality. The manifestation of lower desires is an obstacle in securing this perfection. You miss the best opportunity if you grow grass instead of fruit trees in an orchard. The human life ought not to be wasted away by manifesting lower desires which are a great obstable to the securing of final perfection of the individuality. That is one of the motives.
