On the Bahurata Schism (Jaina Gazette, XXVII). The traditional account of the Bahurata schism started by Jamāli in the very life-time of Mahāvīra is given in this paper. Further the philosophical implications of the Bahurata doctrines are explained with illustrations. 96. Cinmaya-cintāmani (Śrī-Jinavijaya, p. 16, etc., Belgaum, 1930). Here is edited (in collaboration with Prof. K. G. Kundangar) a small Kannada poem dealing with Ātmavidyā. Its author is one Kalyāṇakirti, of later age, who writes in simple language. 97. Jñānabhāskara-carite (Śrī-Jinavijaya, p. 37 ff., Belgaum, 1931). This is a small Kannada poem dealing with Ātmajñāna written in simple but effective language. The text is edited (in collaboration with Prof. K. G. Kundangar) here with a Preface. 98. Syūdvāda (Jaina Gazette, XXVI). The ontological and epistemological background of the Syādvāda is discussed in this paper; and then the seven predications are stated and discussed. In conclusion, it is shown that Syādváda is of no great value in disputations, but it is primarily a corrective and constructive process of understanding reality. For Private And Personal Use Only
