He performed austerities and became famous as Acharya Prabhava Swami. The kindness that surges through the eyes of the Gurudev is so pure and sublime that it transforins the disciples. When in the court, Duryodhana was asked, who were the good men in the court, he replied that he was the only good man. On the contrary, when Yudhistira was asked, who were the bad men in the court, he replied that he was the only bad man. There was poison in the eyes of Chanda Kaushika, while there was nectar in the eyes of Lord Mahavira. Nectar can pacify venom. These crops of nectar fell from the sacred lips of Mahavira. "Oh Chanda Kaushika kuow this. Why don't you learn this? After your death, it will be difficult for you to learn this." On hearing this, he learned the truth, discarded his anger and his anguish ended. His view of life also changed. The Lord has described two kinds of seeing in-. Uththaradhyayana Sutra namely, the auspicious way of seeing and the inauspicious way of seeing. The first way of looking at things reveals sorrows even in joys and the second way of looking at things reveals joy even in sorrows.
