What is an Aptavani?
"Aptavani means the speech of an Aptapurush. A tirthankara and his closest direct disciple can be called Aptapurush. An Aptapurush is the one who can be completely trusted in worldly dealings as well as in all matters that pertains to liberation from the world. The speech of an Aptapurush is called Aptavani. Such speech is without any contradictions, and is in accordance with universal principles. There is nothing in this speech that needs to be deduced or refined through intellect. All that is spoken is pure scripture indeed! It lays bare the Agamas of the 24 tirthankaras with palpable clarity. Such speech is incomparable and second to none. It is worth writing in scriptures. That speech is being printed in these Aptavanis.
Therefore, these books will speak all this. And Indeed these Aptavanis are alive with this speech. They will help others. Many people will be helped. The entire world will find salvation through these Aptavanis."
