4. Actionism
Reward According to Your Actions
He who sets fire, gets fire in return, and he who wields the sword is killed by the sword. He who scatters thorns in the way of others, can never get a bed of flowers to sleep upon. The bed of flowers is given to him, who brings flowers to others.
Actionism
Actionism requires great patience and courage on the part of the ascetic. When we suffer on account of our own evil deeds in the past, we must endure our suffering with patience and for bearance. Whom can we blame for our sufferings? The belief that if we do noble actions, the remaining period of our present life and our future life will be happy, encourages us with new spirit for noble deeds. In the same way, when we know that it is on account of their past evil deeds that poeple suffer in this life and get addicted to many bad habits, we feel pity and compassion instead of hatred and rancour towards them, and this prompts us to relieve their sufferings.
