These results cannot be achieved easily unless the basic values are unexceptionally sound The principle of Ahimsa enables us to value man as man, and is capable of serving as the basis of human relationships on various planes. It envisages a society in which equal regard is shown to the welfare of every individual, and in which equal, effective and maximum opportunities of self-realisation are placed within the reach of one and all without any discrimination.
