TEMPLES JINALAYA PRATISHTHA MAHOTSAVA2008 IN MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA Under the spiritual guidance & inspiration of Param Pujya Shri Jinchandraji and blessings of Param Pujya Gachchhadhipati Aacharya Shrimad Vijay Jayghoshsurishwarji Maharaj Saheb, Nitin Doshi & family has built the first Jain Derasar (Grah Jinalaya with 5 Marble and 1 Panch Dhatu pratimaji) in Melbourne, Australia. In the interest of Jainism and all Jains in Australia, Melbourne Shwetambar Jain Sangh Inc. was the proud sponsor/organiser of the historical Pratishtha event and auspicious occasion. An action packed, 4-day Pratishtha Mahotsav was held from 25th till 28th April 2008. Some of the highlights of the Mahotsav included: Varghodo, Various Poojas, Jinchandraji's Pravachans & Bhavana, Prabhuji 18 Abhishek, Bhakti Mahotsav & Cultural programme, Prabhuji Pratishtha, Parshva-Padmavati Poojan & Dandiya Raas and Dwar Udghatan on the last day. We were fortunate to have Param Pujya Shri Jinchandraji (one of the three brothers popularly known as Bandhu Triputi) of Tithal (Valsad), India to grace the milestone Jainism event in Australia. The event was also energized by a musical ensemble from India.
NEW JAIN TEMPLE COMPLEX IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA OPENS BUENA PARK, The Jain Center of Southern California has announced eleven-day cultural and spiritual programmes on the occasion of the inauguration of their new temple and meditation and reflection hall. The programmes will be held from September 26 to October 6, 2008 in Buena Park, California. This event will mark a historical milestone for the JCSC as the doors open for the community. Activities during the event will include cultural events, a parade, and various religious ceremonies and discourses by visiting dignitaries and scholars. The Jain Center of Southern California (JCSC) started preliminary plans to expand the existing Jain Center by constructing a new Jain Bhavan (Complex) nearly 14 years ago. The new Complex in Buena Park offers a glimpse of Jain culture and its contribution to the city. Decorated with paintings, murals, tapestries, and sculptures to depict the Jain way of life, the opulent features of the architecture reflect the famed ancient Jain temples in India. About the Jain Center of Southern California - The Jain Center of Southern California (JCSC), located in Buena Park, California, was founded on September 15, 1979 by 30 families with one important mandate -- to practice, promote and teach Jainism with no sectarian bias. Today, with over 1000 families as members, the JCSC's major activities include: religious celebrations, educational programs, lectures from visiting dignitaries, free medical camps open to all, humanitarian relief projects and much more. The JCSC is one of the four original Jain organizations that helped establish the Jain Associations in North America (JAINA) in May 1981 which has been honored with numerous awards and honors, including one from the United Nations.
APPEAL FOR DONATION TO SHREE DIGAMBER JAIN MANDIR, VASUNDHRA, GHAZIABAD - We are writing to you on behalf of Shree Digamber Jain Mandir Samiti, Vasundhra Ghaziabad for speedy and hurdle free construction of Shree Mandir Jee. We need your help and Support to make this temple the state of Indian architecture. The project is huge to the extent of Rs.1.35 crores. It is a giant task for a small group of devotees therefore we earnestly request every one to donate generously for a good cause.
