Status determining karma Violence or torture by thoughts, words and deeds to any living being. Sense organs through which one can experience the senses of touch, taste, smell, hear and feel. Birth "Conqueror” He who has conquered love and hate, pleasure and pain, attachment and aversion, and has thereby freed 'his' soul from the karmas obscuring knowledge, perception, truth and ability, is a Jina. The Jains refer to the Jina as God. Knowledge. A pure soul has infinite knowledge. Knowledge obscuring karma. Occasion in the life of a Tirthankar. Action. A deed- good or bad. A form of matter particles. Upon maturing, it delivers its fruit. There are 4 Destructive (Ghäti) and 4 Non-destructive (Aghäti) types of karmas. Powers of Ghäti karmas are much stronger, and they last for many lives. Passion like anger, ego, deceit and greed. The Kashaya cause the karma to bind to the soul. Infinite knowledge. Knowledge isolated from karmic obstruction. Omniscience. Knowledgeinvolving awareness of every existence in all its qualities and modes. Anger Symbol on the base of a Tirthankar's idol that helps identify the Tirthankar.
