12. “You are uttering the truth, O beloved of gods, you are expressing a certainty. What you say is inevitable without a shred of doubt. And it is desirable, O beloved of gods, extremely desirable, it is desirable beyond compare." With these words Devananda acclaimed her husband's prognostication of the dreams and lived happily with Rsabhadatta enjoying bountifully the pleasures which fall to the lot of man.
सुनकर, समझकर हर्षित हुई, सन्तुष्ट हुई। यावत् दशनखों एवं करपल्लवों को साथ मिलाकर मस्तक पर आवर्त करती हई अंजलि शिर से लगा ऋषभदत्त ब्राह्मण को इस प्रकार कहने लगी : १२. "हे देवानुप्रिय! आपने जिन स्वप्नों का फल कहा है, वह इसी प्रकार है। हे देवानुप्रिय ! इनका फल उसी प्रकार है । हे देवानुप्रिय! यह सर्वथा सत्य है । हे देवानुप्रिय ! यह संदेहरहित है। हे देवानुप्रिय ! यह इच्छितअभिलषित है। हे देवानुप्रिय ! यह प्रतीच्छित-प्रमाणभूत है । हे देवानुप्रिय! यह इच्छित और प्रतोच्छित है। हे देवानुप्रिय ! इनका जो अर्थ-फल आप कहते हैं, वह सत्य है और मैं इसी प्रकार इन स्वप्नों का फल स्वीकार करती है।" इन स्वप्नों का फल पूर्णतया मान्य कर वह देवानन्दा ऋषभदत्त ब्राह्मण के साथ मानवोचित उदारश्रेष्ठ भोगने योग्य सुखों का उपभोग करती हुई रहने लगी। १३. उस काल और उस समय में शक, देवेन्द्र, देवराज, बज्रपाणि, पुरन्दर, शतक्रतु, सहस्राक्ष, मधवा, पाकशासन, दक्षिणार्धलोकाधिपति, बत्तीस लाख विमानों का स्वामी, ऐरावण नामक हाथी पर बैठने वाला, सुरेन्द्र, रजरहित गगन - सदृश निर्मल वस्त्रों को धारण करने वाला,

13. During that time, at that moment, Indra the thousand-eyed king of gods was seated on his throne named Sakra, in his council-hall called Sudharma. Indra is the Lord of the Southern Region. He possesses thirty-two hundred-thousand viminas. He rides on the elephant, Airivana. He is celebrated through many epithets. He is called the Wielder-of-the-Thunderbolt, Destroyer-ofUngodly-Cities, Performer-of-Hundred-Sacrifices, Ruler-over-Clouds and Arch-Enemy-of-the DemonPāka.
