मानों वह सिद्धार्थ नरेन्द्र कल्पवृक्ष ही हो! इस प्रकार अलंकृत व विभूषित हुआ। ऐसे सिद्धार्थ क्षत्रिय के शिर पर छत्र धारण करने वालों ने कोरंट पूष्प की मालाय जिसमें लटक रही हैं ऐसा छत्र धारण किया । चमरधारक श्वेत व उत्तम चामर ठुलाने लगे। उन्हें देखते ही लोग 'जय हो, जय हो' मंगल शब्द करने लगे।
इस प्रकार अलंकृत होकर अनेक गणनायकों, दण्डनायकों, राइसर - युवराजों, तलवर - नगररक्षकों, माडम्बिक-जमीदारों, कौटुम्बिक-चौधरियों, मन्त्रियों, महामन्त्रियों, गणक-ज्योतिषियों, द्वारपालों, अमात्यों, चेटों, पीठमर्दकों, नागर-नगर निवासी प्रतिष्ठित पुरुषों, निगम-व्यापारियों, श्रेष्ठियों, सेनापतियों, सार्थवाहों, दूतों, सन्धिपालों आदि से परिवृत्त होकर, जैसे श्वेत महामेध युक्त बादलों से चन्द्र निकलता है, जैसे ग्रह, नक्षत्र और तारागणों के मध्य चन्द्र शोभित होता है, वैसे - ही चन्द्र के समान प्रियदर्शी नरपति सिद्धार्थ क्षत्रिय स्नानघर से बाहर निकला। ६३. स्नानघर से निकलकर (सिद्धार्थ क्षत्रिय) जहां बाह्य सभामण्डप है वहां पर आते हैं । बाह्य सभामण्डप में प्राकर, पूर्व दिशा की ओर मुख कर, सिंहासन पर बैठ कर अपने से ईशानकोण में सफेद वस्त्र से पाच्छादित और जिन पर सरसों आदि से मांगलिक TOT

Expert artisans had fashioned them faultlessly: they had well-rounded joints and were artfully executed with inlay-work and insetwork. King Siddhartha shone like the celestial wishfulfilling tree (kalpavykşa), beautifully decorated and embellished. This great king, this paramount ruler, a lion and a bull among men, shone with a halo of royalty as he emerged from the bath-chamber. A regal parasol, decorated with korina wreaths and with garlands, was held over his head; he was being fanned with gorgeous white chowries. People greeted him with auspicious cries of Victory'. He was attended by numerous chieftains, army. captains, rulers, plutocrats, knights, border-chiefs, retainers, ministers, chief-ministers, sooth-sayers, door-keepers, officials, serving-men, hangerons, leading citizens, guild-chiefs, magnates, generals, caravan-leaders, messengers and ambassadors. He appeared like the resplendent moon emerging from a great white cloud, surrounded by bright planets, stars and constellations. 63.
