Veyanamahadhiyare veyanasamjniyasivihananiogaddara
Ukkassado anukkaasa panchatthanappadida || 35 || The anuttara (non-superior) is fallen in five places with respect to the uttara (superior). || 35 ||
Tassa khetdado kimukkassa anukkaasa? || 36 || With respect to its field, is the said vedana (experience) uttara or anuttara? || 36 ||
Ukkassa va anukkaasa va || 37 || It is both uttara and anuttara. || 37 ||

The anuttara is fallen in four places with respect to the uttara. || 38 ||

The anuttara is fallen in three places - asankhyatabhagahina (deficient by innumerable parts), sankhyatabhagahina (deficient by countable parts), and sankhyatagunahina (deficient by countable qualities) - with respect to the uttara. || 41 ||
Evam damsanaavaraniiya-mohaniya-antaraayaanam || 42 ||
Just as the uttara and anuttara of the vedana of the jnanaavaraniya karma has been expounded with respect to the substance, space, time and mode, similarly the uttara and anuttara of the darshanavaraniya, mohaniya and antaraya karmas should also be understood. || 42 ||
Jassa veyaniiyaveyanaaa dravvado ukkassa tassa khetdado kimukkassa anukkaasa? || 43 ||
For the one whose vedaniya karma's vedana is uttara with respect to the substance, with respect to its field, is it uttara or anuttara? || 43 ||
Niyamaa anukkaasa asankhejjagunahiina || 44 || It is niyamata (by rule) anuttara and deficient by innumerable qualities. || 44 ||
Tassa kaalado kimukkassa anukkaasa? || 45 || Ukkassa va anukkaasa va || 46 || Ukkassado anukkaasa samauna || 47 ||
With respect to its time, is the said vedana uttara or anuttara? || 45 || It is both uttara and anuttara. || 46 || The anuttara is one samaya (moment) less than the uttara. || 47 ||
