वेयणमहाहियारे खेत्तविहाणे अप्पाबहुगं [४, २, ५, ९९ बादरादो बादरस्स ओगाहणगुणगारो संखेज्जा समया ॥ ९९ ॥ एक बादरकी अवगाहनासे दूसरे बादर जीवकी अवगाहनाका गुणकार संख्यातसमय है।
द्वीन्द्रियादि निवृत्त्यपर्याप्त और पर्याप्त जीवोंमें जो उस अवगाहनाका गुणकार संख्यातगुणा कहा गया है वहां 'संख्यात' से संख्यात समयोंको ग्रहण करना चाहिये । पूर्व सूत्रसे चूंकि वहां भी पल्योपमका असंख्यातवां भाग गुणकार प्राप्त होता था, अतः उसका प्रतिषेध करनेके लिये यह दूसरा सूत्र रचा गया है ।
