[357, 2, 2, 64]
It is said that the Bhavya-marga-na (aspirant's path) arises from the Ksayika-laddhi (annihilative attainment). Since the Yathakhyata-vihara-suddhi-samyama (conduct of right conduct in the purified state) occurs through Aupashamika-laddhi (attainment through subsidence) in the Upasanta-kasaya (quasi-quiescent passions) state of the Eleventh Gunasthana (stage of spiritual development), and further through Ksayika-laddhi (annihilative attainment) in the Ksina-kasaya (passions destroyed) and other Gunasthanās, it is therefore specified that it arises from both Aupashamika and Ksayika-laddhi.
