[324] In the Chakkhandagama, the Jivas (living beings)
80. The aforementioned Nāraki Jīvas (hellish beings) come among the Pañcendriya (five-sensed) Saṃjñī (conscious) Tiryañca (animals), but not among the Asaṃjñī (unconscious).
81. They come among the Paryāpta (developed) Garbhaja (embryonic) Tiryañca, but not among the Aparyāpta (undeveloped) ones.
82. They come among the Pañcendriya, Saṃjñī, Garbhaja, and Paryāpta Tiryañca having a Saṃkhyāta (countable) Āyuḥ (lifespan), but not among those having an Asaṃkhyāta (uncountable) Āyuḥ.
83. Among humans, they come among the Garbhopapannā (embryonic), but not among the Sammūrchimā (spontaneously born).
84. Among the Garbhopapannā humans, they come among the Paryāpta, but not among the Aparyāpta.
85. Among the Paryāpta humans, they come among those with a Saṃkhyāta Āyuḥ, but not among those with an Asaṃkhyāta Āyuḥ.
86. The Nāraki Sāmyagmithyādṛṣṭi (partially right-viewed) Jīvas do not rise up from the Naraka (hell) due to the quality of Sāmyagmithyātva (partial right-view).
87. The Nāraki Sāmyagdṛṣṭi (right-viewed) Jīvas, after rising up from the Naraka, come into how many Gatis (states of existence)?
88. They come into only one Manuṣyagati (human state of existence).
