अभिप्राय यह है कि जिनकी छहों पर्याप्तियां पूर्ण हो गई हैं ऐसे नारकी ही इन दो गुणस्थानोंके साथ परिणत होते हैं, अपर्याप्त अवस्थामें वे इन गुणस्थानोंसे परिणत नहीं होते । कारण यह कि नारकियोंके अपर्याप्त अवस्थामें इन दो गुणस्थानोंकी उत्पत्तिके निमित्तभूत परिणामोंकी संभावना नहीं है । इसीलिये उनके अपर्याप्त अवस्थामें ये दोनों गुणस्थान नहीं पाये जाते हैं ।
इस प्रकार सामान्यरूपसे नारकियोंका कथन करके अब विशेषरूपसे उनका कथन करने के लिये उत्तरसूत्र कहते हैं
एवं पढमार पुढवीए रइया ॥ ८१ ॥
इसी प्रकार प्रथम पृथिवीमें नारकी होते हैं ॥ ८१ ॥
प्रथम पृथिवीमें जो नारकी हैं उनके पर्याप्त और अपर्याप्त अवस्थामें संभव गुणस्थानोंकी प्ररूपणा सामान्य नारकियोंके ही समान है, उसमें काई विशेषता नहीं है ।
अब शेष नरकोंमें रहनेवाले नारकियोंके विशेष कथनके लिये उत्तरसूत्र कहते हैंविदियादि जावसत्तमाए पुढवीए णेरइया मिच्छाइट्ठिट्ठाणे सिया पज्जत्ता, अपज्जत्ता ॥ ८२ ॥

दूसरी पृथिवी से सातवीं पृथिवी तकके नारकी जीव मिथ्यादृष्टि गुणस्थानमें कदाचित् पर्याप्त भी होते हैं और कदाचित् अपर्याप्त भी होते हैं ॥ ८२ ॥
प्रथम पृथिवीको छोड़कर शेष छह पृथिवियोंमें मिथ्यादृष्टि जीवोंकी ही उत्पत्ति पाई जाती है, इसलिये वहां पर प्रथम गुणस्थानमें पर्याप्त और अपर्याप्त दोनों अवस्थाएं बतलाई गई हैं ।
अब उन पृथिवियोंमें शेष गुणस्थान किस अवस्थामें पाये जाते हैं और किस अवस्थामें नहीं पाये जाते हैं, इसका स्पष्टीकरण करनेके लिये उत्तरसूत्र कहते हैं
सास सम्माट्ठि सम्मामिच्छाइट्ठि-असंजद सम्माइट्ठिट्ठाणे णियमा पत्ता ॥८३॥ दूसरी पृथिवीसे लेकर सातवीं पृथिवी तकके नारकी जीव सासादनसम्यग्दृष्टि, सम्यग्मिथ्यादृष्टि और असंयतसम्यग्दृष्टि गुणस्थानमें नियमसे पर्याप्तक ही होते हैं ॥ ८३ ॥
सासादनगुणस्थानवर्ती जीव नरकमें उत्पन्न नहीं होते, क्योंकि, सासादन गुणस्थानवाले के नारकायुका बन्ध नहीं होता है । इसके अतिरिक्त जिसने पहले नारकायुका बन्ध कर लिया है ऐसा जीव सासादन गुणस्थानको प्राप्त होकर नारकियोंमें उत्पन्न नहीं होता, क्योंकि, नारकायुका बन्ध कर लेनेवाले जीवका सासादन गुणस्थानमें मरण सम्भव नहीं है । सम्यग्मिथ्यादृष्टि जीवका चूंकि इस गुणस्थान में सर्वथा मरण ही सम्भव नहीं है, अतएव यह गुणस्थान पर्याप्त अवस्थामें ही पाया जाता है । असंयतसम्यग्दृष्टि जीव द्वितीयादि पृथिवियोंमें उत्पन्न ही नहीं होते हैं, क्योंकि, सम्यग्दृष्टियोंके शेष छह पृथिवियोंमें उत्पन्न होनेके निमित्त नहीं पाये जाते ।

Beings who are in the right faith quality are not born in hell, because the right faith quality does not bind the hell body.
