REFERENCES TO PADLIPTA.
It has already been mentioned that Padliptasuri composed Tarangavati, that it was abridged by Nemichandra Suri, and that the original is lost but the summary is available. There are several references in Jain literature to Tarangavati and to Padlipta as its author. The earliest reference is in the Mula Sutra of "Anuyogadwara" composed by Aryarakshitasuri ( page 149 Agamodaya Samiti Edition.)
“से कि तं संजूह नामे:-तरंगवइकारे मलयवइक्वारे अत्ताणुसद्विकारे बिंदुकारे, संतं संजूह नामे ॥ This is very important as it places Tarangavati Katha before Aryarakshitasuri. As Aryarakshita suri was a Vidyashishya of Vajraswami, it is certain that Padliptasuri must have been at least o contemporary with Vajraswami.
