THE ULTIMATE FREEDOM
Acarya Kundakunda says that as per the Shuddha Naya the Soul is completely free and untouched from the Karmas 16 - Suddhanayassa du jeeve abaddhaputtham havadi kammam. Declaring the prime independence of the Soul Acarya Kundakunda says in Samayasara that the Soul is Independent or Dependent is all matter of various points of view; the fact is the Soul is Nayateeta", beyond Naya. Being Nayateeta means to become utmost independent. Being free from any problem, obstacle, or interference is the Soul's Independence, Prime Independence.
Narrating the prime Independence from the other point of view Acarya Kundakunda says - unlike the Papa Karmas make the Soul Dependent even the Punya Karmas also do the same in spite of being good, favourable, likely and affectionative. All the Karmas are non-self and the attachment and contact with the non-self or Pudgala destructs the Self dependency - Sovanniyam pi niyalam bandhadi kalayasam pi jaha purisam Bandhadi evam jivam suhamasuham va kadam kammam ||18
Kundakundacarya illustrates explaining that Bondage is Bondage itself let the shackles be of iron or gold. Hence, the actual independence is in being entirely free from bondage both the good and bad. According to Rai Bahadur J. L. Jaini -

The soul must realize its full independence by realizing that it accomplishes its aim only when, and in so far as, it is absorbed in itself. Then alone, matter is important and non-self stands for aloof, incapable of attacking the soul or attaching itself to it. Any intermission of this self
