Devavrman son of Krsnavarman [1]: a gift to the Yapaniyas (vo 105).
At last and without doubt many centuries later en C. 977= 1055 A. D. another Kadamba of Banavasi, Harikesarin, feuda. tory of the Calukyas of Kalyani makes a gift of land to Bankapura (no 187).
WESTEYN CALUKYAS OF BADAMI. The kings of the old calukya Dynasty constantly favored Jainism (cf R. G. Bhandarker Early history of the Deccan, second edition, Bombay 1895 p. 59). some inscriptions, unfortunately apocryphal or without dates mention among others:
Pulikecin I. C. 411 (su) a gift in favor of a temple built by his feudatory Samiyara (no 106, apocryphal). Kirtivarman [I) a gift to Prabhachandra (no 107). Vinayaditya: C. 608=687 A D. a gift (no 111, apocryphal). Vijayaditya: C. 651=729 A. D. a gift (no 113, apocryphal);his sister Kunkumamahadevis founds a temple at Gudigere
(no 210).
Vikramaditya II. C. 656=734. A. D. restoration of the temples of Pulikere and gifts ( no. 114 apocryphal ).
SENDRAS. Inscription no 109 (apocryphal ) mentions a king of the name of Durgacakti belonging to the family of the Sendras, who makes a gift of land to the Jains at the time of the old of the west Satyacraya (Pulikeein II ? )
Pratihāras of Kanauj.
Perhaps the founder of this dynasty was Amaraja, who was converted by Bappabhattisuri and who is mentioned by an inscription at Catrunjaya as the ancestor of the Oswal tribe (vo 665 ).
PALLAVAS. According to inscription no 305 a Pallava king whose name is not mentioned acknowledged Vimalácandra as his guru,
