ભારત જૈન મહામંડલ જેવી મોટું નામ ધરાવનારી સંસ્થાએ ગત ડિસેંબરમાં વાર્ષિક સભા મુંબઈમાં ભરી પણ શેઠી સંબંધે ઠરાવ લાવવામાં જે બીકણપણું દર્શાવ્યું છે તે માટે તેમ જ અહીંની જન એસેસીએશન ઓફ ડિયાએ આ સંબંધે કંઈ પણ હીલચાલ કરી નથી તે માટે ખેદ થાય છે. કોઈ પણ બં, વગર તપાસે અને ગુન્હાની જાણ વગર જેલમાં સડે એથી અહિંસા ધર્મને ઝુડે ઊઠાવનારી જૈન મને કે જન ભાઈઓને કંપારી આવતી નથી કે પાને ચઢે ! શિવ ! શિવ ! રિફન
સૂત્રોનું ભાષાંતર–અજમેર લાખનકોટડીથી મનિ માણેક લખી જણાવે છે કે હિંદી ભાષા રાજ્ય ભાષાના સર્વત્ર પ્રચાર થવા એ ન હોવાથી મેં સૂત્રોનું હિંદી ભાષા તર કરવા માંડયું છે અને તે સૈને શીઘ મલે તે મ ફક્ત નામની કિમત રાખી છે. કલ્પસૂત્ર મૂળ તથા હિંદી ભાષાંતર છપાવા આવ્યું છે અને તે દરેકને રૂ. ૧) માં મળી શકે તેવી તજવીજ કરી છે. જોઈએ તેણે અજમેર નાયા બજાર ભાગમલ હરખાવત પાસેથી મંગાવી લેવું. તૈયાર થયા બાદ કોઈપણ સંસ્થાને તે આપી દઈ તેમાંથી જ રાયપણી સત્ર અર્થ સાથે છપાશે. તેથી સંસ્થા જે લેશે તે રૂ. ૫ માં કલ્પસૂત્ર વેચશે.”
અમે મુનિશ્રીનું ભાષાંતર મન્ય સૂચનાઓ કરીશું; છતાં અત્યારે એટલું કહીશું કે ભાષા શુદ્ધ અને સરલ, અર્થ સ્પષ્ટ અને યોગ્ય અને બની શકે તે પારિભાષિક શબ્દોના અર્થને કષ તેમાં હોવાં આવશ્યક છે.
કવિતા લખનારને વિજ્ઞપ્તિ—અમારા તરફ કવિતાઓ ઘણી વખત આવે છે અને સાથે લેખક જણાવે છે કે આપના માસિકમાં પ્રસિદ્ધ થશે તે હું બહુ આનંદ પામીશ. મને ઉત્તેજન મળશે. તે આના જવાબમાં જણાવવાનું કે તે એટલી બધી સુલ્લક અને ગધ ભાગને ગમે તેવા રાગ, ગઝલ કે છંદમાં અક્ષર ' માત્રાના ઢગ વગર ગોઠવેલી હોય છે કે કવિતા હૃદયની ઉર્મિરૂપ ઉન્નત વિચારની વ્યંજક હોવી જોઈએ એવું ભાન રહ્યું હોય એમ લાગતું નથી તેથી તેને ફાઈલમાં રાખવા વગર છે કે રહેતો નથી પણ સાથે છીએ છીએ કે લેખકે ધીમેધીમે પ્રયાસો કરી નિચેના વિચારે ધ્યાનમાં રાખી પ્રગતિ કરતા જશે તે કંઈક ગુણોત્કર્ષ થશે.
