Avyapti--The fault, in a definition, of the special characteristic not found in all the members of the class; too narrow a definition. Asambhava-a-lit.impossibility; the fault of the special characteristic in a definition being contrary to the nature of the thing defined. " Ativyapti-fa-too wide a definition; the fault of the special characteristic in a definition being found in things other than the one defined. Astikaya - अस्तिकाय- -means the substance is a collection. of pradeshus (indivisible inseparable parts.) Adharmastikaya--that dravya (substance) which is the hetu (accompanying cause) of the stationary states of things and beings that are not moving, or that are resisting in the sense of not moving. Fulcrum of rest. Akashastikaya--That dravya (substance) which acts as a receptacle of all the other dravyas. (This particular dravya is not a kind of thing that needs to be contained-it has got the nature of needing to be contained. ) Astitva-a-existence. It is a general nature ( Samanya Svabhava) of dravyas (substances. ) Astita-af-same as astitva. Agurulaghutva-increase and decrease in various ways in the paryayas of all dravyas. Agurulaghu is not in the atom but only in the mass. It is a common nature (Samanya svabhava) of all dravyas. Astisvabhava-fa-It is a secondary samanya svabhava. It is the same thing as astitva.
