The pebbles it passes over are Mica Slate which ii coats with a ferruginous matter. Taranda is 13 miles from Sarahan; Nachar is 10 miles from Taranda. Wangto Bridge over the Sutluj is 4 miles from Nachar. . Orni village is 11 miles from Wangto Bridge. Rogi is 10 miles from Orni and is 9100 feet above the sea lovel. Kelash mount is nearly three miles from Rogi and can be seen from Rogi. It is always covered with snow. Kelash is 21,000 feet above sea level. Owing to snow and height no one can mount the Holy mount Kailash. If we see at dawn and clear whether by Telescope a thing like stone wall and dome at a distance can be seen, People and shepherds say that sometimes music and drums are heard. It is possible that cracking of snow seems like drumsmany stories of this holy place are told. It is the Holy place where Our Lord of Lords first Tirthankar Shree Rishab Dera, Son of Maharaja Nabhe Rai attained Salvation. The Brahmins and Vaishnus worship this place as the . abode of Mahadeva or Shib Shanker. We can go round the Holy Kailash from some distance and can make a Parikrama. There is a forest attached to it called Kailash range, A traveller can go up to Shipki a large village, beyond that Tibet Territory under Emperor of China begins and no one is allowed to penetrate into it without permission. The Jains should visit this holy Kelash during May, June and July. The climate is healthy and good. The holy mount Kelash is always covered with white snow.
