Jain Students' Social Gathering.

Student's brotherhood a permanent body. As for my opinion our last year's difficulties distinctly prove that we are still not ripe for the Students' brotherhood. I look upon it, at present, though its constitution has already been drawn up, an unapproachable goal, a star which can be ainied at but never shot. Only two papers were read during the whole year. There are no funds for carrying out the immense programme of the Brotherhood, and no students have enlisted themselves as members and 10 subscription is collected. I, therefore, suggest that its name be changed to Jain Students' Union in order to bring our goal within our reach and to so modify the present constitution as to suit our limited objects. This Union should hold fortnightly meeting's in any one or other of our Jain Boardings to discuss various Jain topics and the students be asked to be its members by only subscribing a small sum of 4 or 8 annas a term.
In such meetings, I liope many students, even graduates will deliver lectures and hold discussions or conversational Meetings. And to help the Students' world, I am inclined to to fill up the gaps whenever asked for as long as I live in Bombay. If we do only this sort of work for a year or two or more, at present, a time is sure to come when we will te able to expand it at into a Brotherhood to include various departments of the spread of Education in our community. It is no use undertaking high ideals of the Bombay Students, Brotherhood, at a time when our community possesses only a
