આ પ્રશ્નના અંગે ઉપયોગી અને જના પત્રવ્યવહાર તેમજ અન્ય કતા પ્રકટ થઇ ચુકી છે. ત્યારબાદ તા. ૨૦-૭૨૭ ના બનારસવાલા રાજા સહાન પ્રમાદ સિડના પત્ર અમાને મળ્યા હતા માં તેઓ જણાવે છે કે “ I am very sorry to have kept your letter no. 1112 dated 21/3/27 waiting so long. xx x In my opinion there seems no necessity to pay Rs. 40,000/- to the Hindu University for establishing a

chair for Jain Philosophy when they have their own arrangements for same.
Moreover there are not many Jain
Students in the University nor they take any interest in a subject like Philosophy. The general tendency of the students these days is for science and engineering etc and since our object is to encourage general edu. cation among the Jains, we ought to
utilize the sum in such a way that this object may be gained and so my suggestion is that this 40,000/- and the balance that is to be realized be set apart to give scholarships to such Jain Swetamber students who come
out in B. A. with honours and g॰
to foreign countries for tecknical and

other educatiou. Donors should be consulted. If a meeting is called. for the purpose at Bombay, I am afraid the people of this side or of

આ પત્ર તા. ૩૦-૯-૨૭ ની સસ્થાની કિંમ ટીની બેઠકમાં રજી કરવામાં આવતાં સર્વાનુમતે ઠરાવવામાં આવ્યું હતું કે “ ઉક્ત યુનીવર્સીટીના સત્તાવાળાઓને પત્ર લખી અત્યાર સૂધી જૈન તેમજ જૈનેતર વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ જૈન સાહિત્ય, તત્ત્વજ્ઞાન અને ન્યાય વગેરેના અભ્યાસક્રમના બામ લીધા તૈય તથા પસાર થયા હ્રાય તેના વર્લ્ડવાર તથા વર્ગવાર આંક ડાએ સાથે હાલ દરેક વર્ગમાં કેટલા વિદ્યાર્થીઓ છે ને વગેરે હતા મગાવી.'
આ દરાવ અન્વયે શ્રી ભનારસ હિંદુ યુનિવસીટી ના પ્રેા. વાઇસચન્સેલર આચાર્ય આનંદશંકર ખી.
ધ્રુવને તા. ૭–૧૯૨૭ ના રાજ નં ૭૯૦૪ ના પત્ર alsoવર્સીટીના એકટીંગ રજીસ્ટ્રાર તા. ૧૧-૧૧-૨૭ ના લખવામાં આવ્યા હતા. જેના જવાબમાં યુક્ત યુનિ નં. ૧૬૧૫ વાળા પત્રમાં લખી જણાવે છે કેઃ
