ESSAY COMPETITION
PREAMBLE:
As part of its commitment to the progressive development of the youth and their involvement with Jainism, Parshvanath Vidyapeeth is organizing an essay competition. In keeping with the vision and aims of the institute to bring Jainism closer to the people and the foster learning about Jainism, It is felt that an essay competition leads to reading, research and practice of the knowledge. Newer ideas also get generated when one gives free rein to one,s thoughts.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE:
All persons of any age group or religion can participate. The competition is however, not open to Parshvanath Vidyapeeth employees or their first kith-&-kin.
THE TOPIC."RELEVANCE OF JAINISM IN THE 21ST CENTURY." SUBMISSION GROUPS :
1. Age upto 18years: Length of essay at least 4 pages, typed
double spaced using 12 points font. 2. Age over 18 years : Length of essay at least 8 pages, typed,
double spaced using 12 point font. PRIZES: (Indian Rupees.)
For the best entries as decided by the Judges, irrespective of the language of submission: Age Group

The essay can be in Hindi or English. EVALUATION CRITERIA : • Quality and clarity of Expression, thought, presentation and originality. • Quotations from original texts where relevant is not barred. • Quality of language.
