muhabhūmivisesumhi du ucchehabhajidamhi sā have vaddhi vaddhi icchāgunidā muhasahidā sū phalam hodi ||
When the difference between the top (a) and the base (b) is divided by the height (h) [of a trapezoid), it will be the (rate of increase) (r).
