________________ 341 д Buddhi prabha Birth:-- This great man was born in Samvat 1930 (1874 A. D.) on a Shivratri Day in Vijapur in a cultivator's family. His mother's name was Ambabai and his father's name was Shivdas. His name was Becharbhai. He was helping his parents in the field and at home and passed his childhood in this condition without any means of getting education. One day when he was sleeping in the cradle, a large serpant came near him, the mother on seeing this shuddered and made prayers and the serpant went away. In the evening one Mahant Ishwardasji predicted that this child is very lucky in future. When he was sent to the school, he paased successfully in all standards of Gujarati Schol and the teachers wondered at his intellect. His parents died in 1901 and he came in connection with the Jains and Jain Saints [ 10-6-64 and came to the conclusion to leave the world and pass a life of Jain Muni. He devoted all his time in reading various books and various Shashtras of differant religions, and acquired vast knowledge. He than began to write books and devoted all his time in self realization. The Maharaja of Baroda invited him to give religious lactures in his palace and Maharaja Shri Sayaji Rao was greatly impressed with his wonderfull life and Yoga. He came in connection with Mahatma Gandhiji, Lala Lajpatrai, Pandit Malaviya etc. and discussed with them about the prosperity of India. During the monsoon season the Jain Muni has to remain at one place and wherever he went, he gave to the people his great massage for their well being.
