All editions of the Veni liave this reading. The different commentaries on the K. P. also have यत: except प्र. & उ. edn. (p. 332) which has तत: for यत: in the ft. note. with reference to this reading Fl. a. edn. p. II (p. 90.) observes -
यतः इत्यपि पाठः, न च यत् इति पाठे नन्वयत इति पाठे यतोऽहं त्वां विमोक्ष्येऽतः स्वस्ति भवत इति । अत इति पदसाकाङ्क्षता अभू द्यत्वपरस्य विशेषतः उत्तरवाक्यस्थितस्य यत्पदस्य प्रकृतिपरित्यागवाचितयान्यसाकाङ्क्षत्वाभावात् । (11) कृतमनुमतं दृष्टं वा यैरिदं गुरुपातकं
मनुजपशुभिर्निर्मर्यादैर्भवद्भिदायुधैः । नरकरिपुणा सार्धं तेषां सभीमकिरीटिना
मयमहमसङ्मेदोमांसैः करोमि दिशां बलिम् ॥-३.२८ This verse does not suggest any variant in the different editions of the Veni., except the N. S. edn. (p. 81), which has 'पशुभिः' with '०पतिभि:' in the ft. note. The different commentaries on the K. P. also do not suggest any variant. (12) देश: सोऽयमराति शोणितजलैर्यस्मिन् हुदाः पूरिताः
क्षात्रादेव तथाविधः परिभवस्तातस्य केशग्रहः । तान्येवाहितशस्त्रघस्मर गुरूण्यस्त्राणि भास्वन्ति मे
यद्रामेण कृतं तदेव कुरुते दोणात्मजः क्रोधनः ॥-३.३३ This verse has so many variants. They are as underशोणितजलैः
This variant is accepted by all editions of the Venī but N. S. edn. (p. 86) has also noted शोणितभरैः in the ft. note. The different commentaries on the K. P. have शोणितजलैः only. क्षात्रात् - This variant is seen only in the N. S. edn. of the Veni (p. 86) while Chau. edn. (p. 134-135), Poona edn. (p. 42), Madras edn. (p. 93), Gaj. edn. (p. 80), Des. edn. (p. 87-88) have क्षत्रात् Gaj. edn. and Des. edn. have also noted क्षात्रात् in the ft. note.
