नन्दन्तु पाण्डुतनयाः सह माधवेन । रक्तप्रसाधितभुवः क्षतविग्रहाश्च
स्वस्था भवन्तु कुरुराजसुताः सभृत्याः ॥-१.७ In this verse, no variant is seen in either any edition of the Venī or in the different commentaries on the K. P. But Jhalakikar las noted that Jagaddhar, the commentator of Veni refers to 'निर्वाणवैरिदहनाः', a reading which is not proper according to Jalakikar'. (2) तथाभूतां दृष्ट्वा नृपसदसि पाञ्चालतनयां
वने व्याधैः सार्धं सुचिरमुषितं वल्कलधरैः । विराटस्यावासे स्थितमनुचितारम्भनिभृतं
गुरुः खेदं खिन्ने मयि भजति नाद्यापि कुरुषु ।।-१.११ This verse also does not suggest any variant in the different commentaries on the K. P., while the N. S. Edn. (p. 13) and Des. edn. (p. 9) of the Veni have 'भजति' with 'वहति' noted in the ft. note. Other editions of the Veni do not suggest any variant. (3) यत्तदूजितमत्युग्रं क्षात्रं तेजोऽस्य भूपतेः ।
दीव्यताक्षैस्तदानेन नूनं तदपि हारितम् ॥ १.१३ This verse also has no variant in either the different editions of the Veņī or those of the K. P. (4) मध्नामि कौरवशतं समरे न कोपा
दुःशासनस्य रुधिरं न पिबाम्युरस्तः । संचूर्णयामि गदया न सुयोधनोरू संधि करोतु भवतां नृपतिः पणेन ॥-१.१५
